2. Directory Purpose and Operation
Cambslist publishes a regional business directory for Cambridgeshire, England.
A. General Information Only
Directory entries, trade categories, contact numbers, and location mappings provide general information. Publishing a business profile does not mean Cambslist endorses, recommends, or partners with that business unless marked with an explicit “Featured Partner” badge.
B. User Due Diligence
You must evaluate any business or contractor before hiring them or purchasing goods. You are responsible for verifying licenses, insurance policies, certifications, and prices directly with the business.
3. Directory Content and Accuracy
A. Public Sources
Cambslist indexes business details from public sources, including official company websites, Companies House, Google Business Profiles, and established public directories.
B. Accuracy Disclaimer
While we verify contact information during collection, business details change. Cambslist does not warrant that directory information is complete, accurate, or current at all times.
4. Managing Your Business Listing
Business owners can manage their presence on Cambslist (see our full Business Listing & Removal Policy):
- Free Updates: Email hello@cambslist.co.uk to correct phone numbers, addresses, opening hours, or website links. We apply verified updates within 1 calendar week at no cost.
- Listing Removal: Email hello@cambslist.co.uk with the subject
Listing Removal Request - [Business Name]. We remove your listing within 1 calendar week at no cost and add your details to our permanent suppression list. - Editorial Discretion: Cambslist may review, edit, recategorize, or remove any listing or submitted content that violates our standards.
5. Submissions and Form Inquiries
When you submit information via our contact form or request a business feature:
- You confirm you have the authority to provide details on behalf of your business;
- You confirm all submitted information is truthful and accurate;
- You grant Cambslist a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your business name, logo, description, and images on the Platform;
- You agree not to submit fraudulent, defamatory, or unlawful content.
6. Intellectual Property
A. Platform Rights
Cambslist owns the Platform design, database structure, custom code, text, graphics, and compilation rights under UK law.
B. Third-Party Trademarks
Company names, logos, and trademarks shown on the directory belong to their respective owners. Cambslist displays them for identification and nominative directory reference under UK fair dealing principles. Display does not imply affiliation or sponsorship.
C. Prohibited Scraping
You must not:
- Use automated scrapers, spiders, or scripts to harvest phone numbers, email addresses, or business data for commercial resale or spam;
- Bypass security controls or robots.txt directives;
- Frame the Platform or imply endorsement by Cambslist without written permission.
7. External Links
The Platform contains links to third-party websites, telephone dialers (tel:), and messaging apps (https://wa.me/...). We do not control or endorse external sites and are not responsible for their content or practices. You follow external links at your own risk.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by UK law:
- Cambslist disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for purpose, and non-infringement;
- Cambslist does not warrant that the website will operate without errors, interruptions, or security flaws;
- Cambslist does not warrant the quality, legality, safety, or reliability of any listed business.
9. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances is Cambslist, Bamplify, or its operators liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, special, or consequential loss arising from using or being unable to use the Platform;
- Disputes, contracts, or losses arising between users and listed businesses;
- Errors, omissions, or outdated listings in the directory;
- Unauthorized access to your data or transmissions.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
